Safe to Sleep
WORDS BABIES CAN LIVE BY:
You just need to remember, “B.I.B.S.”
It stands for:
IN A CRIB…
BACK TO SLEEP
SAFE TO SLEEP
Safe Sleeping Practices are VITAL, for Mom, Dad, Grandparents and all caregivers to learn and practice everyday. It’s important that everyone who cares for a baby, or knows someone who cares for a baby, learns safe sleep positions and routines.
That’s why Prevent Child Abuse Indiana, a Division of The Villages, and The Kids First Trust Fund have initiated a new public awareness and education campaign to help reduce the rate of infant sleep-related deaths in Indiana.
Be careful not to fall asleep while holding your baby.
Sleep related deaths, and often from co-sleeping, are one of the leading causes of infant deaths.
It’s simple: “B.I.B.S” stands for Words Babies Can Live By…
BABIES ALONE, with nothing else
IN A CRIB, no co-sleeping with baby anywhere
BACK TO SLEEP, tummy-time is only for play-time. It’s belly-side-up to sleep
SAFE TO SLEEP
WORDS BABIES CAN LIVE BY.
Babies need more than good sleep habits, food, diaper changes, and Mommy, though, too. Baby bonding time with Daddy is important to do everyday for the emotional well-being and development. Research shows daily “Daddy-Time” reduces mental health issues for children later in life.
