2017 Community Workshops

10:30am-12:30pm – “Engaging with Individuals of Diverse Populations”
This workshop includes the “BaFa BaFa Cross Cultural Experience” which is a simulation where “participants come to understand the powerful effects that culture plays in every person’s life. It may be used to help participants prepare for living and working in another culture or learning how to work with people from other departments, disciplines, genders, races, and ages. It is a time tested face to face simulation training program that creates memorable experiences and gets results.” This workshop will be lead by our own Devina Jani, Asst Director of Programs and Calvin Roberson, Vice President of Planning & Program Development for the Indiana Minority Health Coalition, Inc.
Luncheon 12:30-1:00 pm (Cost for lunch is $10.00 – Workshops are free if you bring your own lunch)
1:00-2:30 pm – “The Opioid Impact on Children and Families in Indiana”
