DESCRIPTION:Topic:  LGBTQ+ 101\nDate:  January 20\, 2022\nTime:  Noon – 1:00 p.m. (EST)\nDescription:  We will be discussing the basics of the LGBTQ+ community\, the challenges they face\, and how our LGBTQ+ youth is impacted every day\, in absolutely every facet of their lives. How can we be good stewards\, caretakers\, and advocates for our LGBTQ+ youth? How do we create safe space?  What does it all look like\, and how do we have those conversations with our kids and those that are involved in their growth and care? \nPlease join us. This is your chance to ask all the questions that you’ve been uncomfortable to ask. This is your chance to participate in education and dialogue that will improve life-outcomes for our LGBTQ+ youth\, and maybe save some lives. I’m looking forward to seeing you all. \nOur Nurturing Parents Café is more of a facilitated discussion instead of one of our regular trainings/webinars\, Training Credits will not be available. \nThe Parent Cafes are a monthly\, relaxed discussion around Parenting Topics. Participants are encouraged to bring YOUR OWN ISSUES and gain insights and resources! \n  \nRegistration Link:  https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAtdeGpqj8tG9Essn8T_lkCem427Bv-0R0t \n  \nPresented by:  Angie Tarr BS\, RN\, Training Outreach Specialist  \nHaving grown up in Indianapolis as a member of the LGBTQ+ community and experiencing many of the same struggles that our youth experience today\, Angie seized the opportunity to work for IYG\, with the sole intent of creating safe space for our LGBTQ+ youth and young adults.
