SUMMARY:Feb8-Mar29 2022 Nurturing Parents Class Series
DESCRIPTION:Nurturing Parents Community Class Series\n  \n\nNurturing Parents\, brought to you by Prevent Child Abuse Indiana\, meets one night a week for the 8-week course\, tailored to empower parents or caregivers. It is a customized\, competency-based parenting program\, each class lasting 60-90 minutes. The facilitator is a master’s degree social worker\, trained in Nurturing Fathers and Nurturing Parents.  Parents learn new beliefs\, knowledge and skills that improve their overall level of functioning through nurturing parenting.  There are over 80 lessons\, so classes can be customized to meet the groups family needs.\n\nSome examples of topics include discipline\, growth and development\, alternatives to spanking\, developing empathy\, as well as many more. \n  \n  \n\n\n\nDATES:  February 8\, 2022 – March 29\, 2022  This class meets on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm (EST) until about 8:00 pm for 8 consecutive weeks.\n\n\n\n\nWHERE: Virtual Zoom Meeting\n\n\n\n\n\nWHO IS INVITED: Parents\, Grandparents\, Foster Parents\, Kinship Parents\, Mentors\, etc.\n\n\n\n\nOnce you have registered you will be emailed the class Zoom link.  This link will be used for each of the 8 Classes.\nYou will be mailed a Pre-Class Parent Inventory (AAPI-A) and a class workbook after the first class.
