DESCRIPTION:NetSmartz Internet Safety: Community  \nThis training is provided through partnership with The National Center for Missing and Exploited children. This interactive virtual or in-person training focuses on educating adults on the potential risks of internet use for children. Through guided conversation\, videos\, and activities\, the training educates participants on social media and internet use for youth\, the potential risks that youth face when accessing the internet\, and ways for adults to have conversations with youth about being safe.    \nInternet safety is a prevention focused training\, and provides participants the tools to have informed conversations with youth about using the internet and ways to protect themselves\, including who to trust\, what personal information to share\, how to identify safe sites to use\, and what to do if something harmful occurs. DESCRIPTION:Nurturing Fathers \nNurturing Fathers is a free\, evidence-based\, eight-session program designed to support fathers and father figures in building stronger\, healthier relationships with their children while connecting with other dads in a supportive\, judgment-free environment. Through guided discussions\, personal reflection\, and interactive workbook activities\, participants explore positive parenting strategies\, develop nurturing skills\, and strengthen their confidence in their role as fathers. \nThe program provides a safe space for participants to examine how their own childhood experiences may influence their parenting today while learning practical tools to foster healthy family relationships and break cycles of harmful parenting practices. \nThroughout the eight sessions\, participants explore topics including: \n\nThe roots of fathering and the impact of childhood experiences\nUnderstanding emotions and practicing healthy self-nurturing\nBuilding nurturing relationships without violence\nIdentifying and overcoming barriers to positive parenting\nPositive discipline\, play\, and creating meaningful family connections\nSupporting the unique needs of sons and daughters\nCo-parenting\, healthy communication\, and the role of fatherhood\nHealing\, personal growth\, and developing a lasting commitment to nurturing\n\nThis interactive program emphasizes connection\, self-awareness\, and practical skill-building\, empowering fathers to become the parents they aspire to be.
