DESCRIPTION:Water Safety  \nThis interactive\, prevention-focused Water Safety training is designed for professionals and caregivers who support infants and young children. The session centers on real-world water-related risks and provides participants with practical\, developmentally appropriate strategies to help prevent drowning and water-related injuries across home\, school\, and community settings.  \nThrough scenario-based discussions\, visual simulations\, live polling\, and guided reflection\, participants explore essential water safety concepts\, including:  \n\nDrowning risk factors and common misconceptions \n\n\nActive supervision and shared-responsibility challenges \n\n\nDevelopmentally appropriate water safety education for infants\, toddlers\, and young children \n\n\nPool\, bath\, open water\, and community water environment considerations \n\n\nThe role of swim lessons\, barriers\, and layered protection strategies \n\nThis training emphasizes awareness\, preparation\, and prevention over fear-based messaging\, helping adults recognize how quickly water-related incidents can occur and how small\, intentional actions can significantly reduce risk.
