SUMMARY:Parent's Café: Family Hope-How it Helps & Supports Families
DESCRIPTION:Topic: “Family Hope Program: How it Helps & Supports Families”\nDate:  December 16\, 2021\nTime:   6-7:00 pm (EST)\nDescription:  Family Hope is a ministry of the local church that provides supportive relationships for isolated families. Through Family Hope\, volunteers walk alongside at-risk families and prevent them from entering further into the child-welfare system\, if at all possible. They do this by wrapping around each struggling family by offering temporary hosting of children\, resource connections and guidance for parents\, and a bridge to family stability. Family Hope’s mission is to bring hope to families through caring\, connective relationships formed in the redemptive love of Jesus. \nPresented by:  Lanna Blanchard\, Founder and Executive Director of Family Hope (Central Indiana). For the past 30 years\, Lanna has been involved in various work involving international adoption\, foster care\, and family preservation. She and her husband Tim feel privileged to have had the opportunity to adopt five precious children from Korea; they have led support groups for adoptive parents and children. Lanna completed her undergraduate work in Psychology at Indiana University and has master-level credits in Christian Counseling through Liberty University. She has served in several leadership capacities with a national nonprofit organization focused on family preservation and has recently launched a local organization named Family Hope. Lanna enjoys escaping to any beach with Tim\, researching about health/nutrition while inhaling dark chocolate caramels\, and listening to podcasts on dreaming big dreams and never giving up! \n  \nOur Nurturing Parents Café is more of a facilitated discussion instead of one of our regular trainings/webinars\, Training Credits will not be available. The Parent Cafes are a monthly\, relaxed discussion around Parenting Topics. Participants are encouraged to bring YOUR OWN ISSUES and gain insights and resources! \n  \nZoom Registration: https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZ0kce-urTkpGNewJABndyC0SVb3bFGH9PjK
