PCAIN 2024 Webinar Series – “Positive Childhood Experiences (PCE’s)”
February 16 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Topic: Positive Childhood Experiences (PCE’s)
Date: February 16, 2024
Time: 11:00am – 1:00 pm (Eastern Time)
Speaker: Roger Sherman, Executive Director, Idaho’s Children’s Trust Fund
Description of Webinar Topic: Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences or HOPE is the antidote for ACEs or the adverse experiences like abuse and neglect that too often cause trauma for children. This webinar will focus on the HOPE framework developed by Dr. Bob Sege with Tufts University Medical Center, Jennifer Jones with Prevent Child Abuse America and others to create an understanding of PCEs or Positive Childhood Experiences. The HOPE framework tells us that positive relationships and environments, opportunities for social and emotional growth and developing a sense of belonging through social and civic engagement are the keys to building resilient children and the adults they will become. We know that abuse and neglect disrupt relationships and safe home environments making it critical that we prevent them in the first place. The webinar will introduce the key concepts and how they can shape our practice.
Training Time: 2 Hour Training. A Training Certificate will be emailed to each attendee within 24 Business Hours after the Webinar.
