Active Dad: Navigating Barriers to Fatherhood Engagement for Service Providers
This interactive, prevention-oriented training focuses on helping service providers and direct care workers understand the potential barriers for fathers that are less involved in supportive services for their child or family and provide realistic tips on response and engagement. The training reviews the many benefits for children when dads are actively involved in services, details the many possible barriers that might lead dads to be less involved, and provides simple steps that providers can follow to overcome biases and encourage fathers to be more engaged in processes.
