Kelsey Patterson was born and raised on the west side of Indianapolis before moving to Brownsburg, where she graduated from Brownsburg High School. After high school, she attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, studying Public Health and Fine Art. In 2018, Kelsey returned to Indianapolis and spent several years working in the hospitality industry. After becoming a mother in 2020, she decided to shift her career focus toward marketing and returned to school to pursue her passion for the field.

Kelsey has always had a passion for social justice and the well-being of children and families. Becoming a mom only strengthened that passion and her desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. When the opportunity to join Prevent Child Abuse Indiana arose, PCAIN immediately stood out as a dream role—one where she could combine her marketing and administrative skills with her commitment to improving the lives of children and families across Indiana.

Her favorite part of working at PCAIN is getting to attend community events and see firsthand the impact of the work happening behind the scenes each day. Whether she is helping share resources, support events, or connect families with prevention-focused information, Kelsey enjoys seeing how the work of the PCAIN team reaches communities throughout the state.

When she’s not working with PCAIN and Z2T, Kelsey is a true homebody who enjoys relaxing at home with her family. The things that can get her out of the house include little league baseball games, Colts games, and WWE events. In another life, she’s certain she would be a sports reporter. She also helps her childhood friend run her small local cupcake business.
