Child Abuse 102: Impact of Violence on Children 

Time: 1.5 Hours 

CA 102 is the second part of a two-session series focused on the prevention of child abuse. It serves as an intermediate level approach to child abuse, with a focus on the impact that observing or being a victim of violence can have on children.  

The session will discuss the many impacts that abuse have on children by their age group. It will discuss the behavioral signs and other indicators that a child has experienced violence, and introduce protective factors and other ways to support children exposed to violence. 

Through interactive polls, questions, and guided discussions, the audience will explore the topics of reporting responsibilities, responsibly responding to disclosures, and prevention ideas for local communities.
