This interactive, prevention-focused Teen Safety Matters® training is designed for educators, youth-serving professionals, caregivers, and community members who support adolescents. The session provides practical strategies to help adults recognize, prevent, and respond to teen safety concerns while empowering youth with skills to make safe choices and seek support.
Through scenario-based discussions, interactive activities, guided reflection, and age-appropriate resources, participants explore essential teen safety concepts, including:
- Recognizing risks related to bullying, cyber safety, exploitation, unhealthy relationships, and unsafe situations
- Understanding challenges teens face and how adults can create supportive, protective environments
- Teaching teens skills related to boundaries, decision-making, communication, and seeking help
- Identifying warning signs and responding appropriately to safety concerns
- Strengthening prevention strategies in schools, homes, and communities
