NetSmartz Internet Safety: Middle/High School

This training is provided through partnership with The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This interactive virtual or in-person training focuses on educating youth on the potential risks of internet use for children. Through guided conversation, videos, and activities, the training educates participants on the potential risks when using social media and the internet, how to identify risks, and tips on how to be safe when searching online.
Internet safety is a prevention focused training, and provides participants the tools to use the internet in a safer manner. The training details potential risks to youth when using the internet, including sextortion, cyberbullying, and accessing inappropriate content. The training discusses prevention steps including knowing who to trust, what personal information to share, how to identify safe sites to use, and what to do if something harmful occurs.
It is age-appropriate content, with a separate presentation for middle school and high school age youth.
