Nurturing Fathers

Time: 2-hour sessions, 8 sessions per cohort (weekly on Wednesdays, time varies, based on which time of the year you attend)

Nurturing Fathers is a long form, evidence-based program catered to fathers to teach parenting skills and the power of nurturing for men. This weekly virtual offering follows a workbook provided to participants, where the group completes guided activities, personal reflections, and commitments to the father they want to become.

In this course, fathers will discuss a variety of personal topics, including the relationship they have with their father, the type of father they would like to be, and the relationship they hope to have with their children. The facilitator will guide participants through activities to process their feelings around parenting and nurturing, and provide opportunities to practice nurturing and caring skills.

By the end of the course, participants will have been given the knowledge to implement nurturing strategies in their parenting.

This training is ideal for:

  • Nurturing Fathers is currently served through referrals only
  • Men who are fathers
  • Men who are going to become fathers
  • Men with a history of trauma related to their father
