Mailed submissions should arrive at our office by December 31st. Please allow plenty of time for the postal service to deliver items.
Child Abuse Prevention Council Chartering Packet Contents & Instructions
Items to be returned no later than December 31:
Original chartering signature sheet: You may now complete the Chartering Agreement online, or if you prefer you may print, complete and return the hardcopy to us with payment by December 31st.
Chartering Fee – $150.00 by December 31st. Please note that we have changed our policies regarding late submissions. Instead of increasing the chartering fee for each month that the agreement is late, we will now be putting a Council on “Provisional Status” until the documents and payments are received. Under a Provisional Status, we will not be able to provide Councils with materials, pinwheels, or discounts. If your Council is experiencing an exceptional financial hardship, please let us know prior to the due date so that we can work with you, and help you develop a plan.
If you pay your Chartering Agreement with a check, please write “PCAIN Charter” in the memo line of your check. If you complete the Chartering Agreement online you have the option to pay online or mail in a check.
A copy (NOT the original) of your most recent 501(c)(3) letter from the Internal Revenue Service: This is only for Councils that have their own nonprofit status. If your Council operates under the umbrella of another nonprofit, you do not need to provide a copy of your IRS letter.
